Create Your New Image with Hair Trends for Summer 2015

As the seasons change, so should your hair -- especially in the beautiful season of summer! Gather your bobby pins, curling irons, and maybe even book an appointment for a coloring, because this summer you're going to look fabulous! So, what are the most popular hair trends of 2015? Take a look at our list comprised of styles endorsed by fashion icons, Marc Jacobs, Marchesa, Christian Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, and more!

1. Low Ponytail

The ponytail trend has been a fan favorite for a long time. You can wear it tied loosely or tightly, messy or groomed, but the key is to wear it low at the nape of the neck. For an evening look, you can wear it glossy and flat to add a dash of glamour.

2. Woodstock Waves

Natural wavy hair is back! Let your hair dry naturally to add more movement to it and let the curls relax and fall into place by themselves.

3. Center Parted Hair

The secret on this one is to wear it center parted but with a natural look. You can go with down-dos, low ponytails or even loose. The key is not to wear it precisely centered nor neatly at one side.

4. Fresh-Wet Looks

Spring and summer are all about being fresh, so this trend reflects it. A slicked back wet-look is definitely made to make you rock and shine!

5. Short Cuts

Short cuts are all over the place now because it’s one of the best alternatives to cope with the heat and also stay on trend. The style called “The Lob” is the number one among actresses. It is nothing but an above-the-shoulders cut. Some people like it shorter, like bob style, and some prefer just the lob. Either way, you cannot go wrong picking this style!

6. Fringed

Piece and swept over bangs are what is on for this season. Forget the neatly look!

7. Up-dos

Twisted high buns are on. You can wear it all messy or slicked back and glossy, the important thing is that they keep away from your shoulders!

8. Plaits

Braided looks are always welcome, even more when it’s getting hot! You can bet on mini, loosen plaits on the bottom section of your hair for the day and for the night go for a loosely plait back up-do.

9. Forget about Ombre Hair

The trend now is highlights that frame the face. Try highlighting your hair in a way that gives movement to it and gives brightness to your face.

10. Best Go-to Colors

a. Highlights: Like said on item #9. highlights are on now. However, the best bet here is to have those highlights imitating the ones you got when you were a kid spending too much time on the sun. A more natural sun-kissed hair.

b. Monochrome Brunette: A popular trend now is committing to one solid color if you don’t like highlights or too much going on in your hair. Among so many people with dual-tone hairs, one single color might make you stand out.

c. Blonded Brunette: The technique usually used to create this “blonded brunette” effect is balayage. What balayage does is that it adds some blond only to the bottom part of the darker hair to brighten the client’s face, but it is not as strong as an ombre hair.

d. Little Mermaid Red: Reds such as Emma Stone and Rihanna are here to stay. The days people would fear this color because it’s too wild are long gone. This trend is here to stay and a good professional knows how to play with red tones to make it suitable to anyone. Go for it!
